I just wanted to follow up and let you know that I did visit S last week at her residential home.  She was so lovely and seemed really settled.  The Home Manager told me about all the good progress that Sian has been making in the home and discussed with me his plan to slowly integrate her back into the schemes she likes to participate in.

The residential staff have a good relationship with S and they have positive behaviour plans in place to support Sian get back to the activities that are meaningful to her.  At this time, I do not think there is a place for my services and therefore I will discharge.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for Joyce and her work, especially recently. On Tuesday, my Mum had a suspected stroke. At the time, Joyce stayed longer at my Mum’s house to wait for paramedics to arrive and deal with the situation. It was really helpful to have Joyce there to be able to communicate to the paramedics what Mum is typically like and therefore able to identify how her behaviour and health appeared to have changed. Joyce shows genuine care and compassion in her work, and it does not go unnoticed. She also makes the effort to speak the odd Greek word to my Mum, which is comforting and familiar. She really does stand out amongst her peers
