Directly line manage, mentor, and supervise our team of 6 Care Coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Act as the clinical lead for the service. Provide expert advice on complex care packages, medication management, and clinical decision-making, ensuring all care is safe, effective, and evidence-based.

Take full responsibility for CQC compliance, leading on audits, incident management, and continuous improvement. This role is key to maintaining and building upon our CQC rating.

Utilise your commercial awareness to drive the strategic growth of the service. You will be instrumental in expanding our private client base and scaling the business.

Oversee all day-to-day operations, from client assessments and care planning to staff rostering and stakeholder engagement(e.g., families, GPs, Local Authorities)

You will serve as the lead advisor and auditor, providing expert guidance on adult safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS), and broader quality matters while promoting a culture of accountability and person-centred care. You will take full responsibility for CQC compliance by leading audits and incident management to maintain and improve our ratings.

Your role includes developing training programs on safeguarding and professional standards, supporting staff through mentoring and reflective practice. You will analyse audits, complaints, and safeguarding incidents to identify risks, subsequently delivering workshops to bridge practice gaps and promote inclusive, non-discriminatory care.

Furthermore, you will lead the complaints process, ensuring thorough investigations and reporting trends to senior management for organisational improvement. You will be responsible for cascading these findings across all levels of the organisation and representing Nwando Care in multi-agency collaborations to ensure consistent, high-standard practice.

Responsible for undertaking initial visits, setting up care packages, completing all necessary documentation (including risk assessments), and conducting regular care reviews in collaboration with professional colleagues (e.g.,Occupational Therapists and Social Workers).

To lead the Introduction of new carers to clients, providing practical training, conducting monthly spot checks/field care supervisions, and supervising carers across all fields.

Overseeing and providing cover for direct care visits (dedicating at least 50% of working time to this), participating in the out-of-hours & on call rota, and taking responsibility for MAR Charts collection and analysis.

Work in Tandem with the Quality Assurance Manager, ensuring Care Co-ordinators are aware of resource issues, reporting any service user complaints, and proactively communicating any issues affecting care delivery to the CareManager/ Operations Manager.

Developing positive relationships with all external agencies involved in care delivery within the assigned patch and seeking to further develop the company and business level in the area.

Provide personal care (e.g., washing, bathing, dressing, toileting)

Assist with medication administration and monitoring, as per care plans

Support with mobility, including safe use of mobility aids, hoists, or wheelchairs

Accompany individuals to medical appointments, day centres, or community activities

Support with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration

Carry out light domestic duties (e.g., cleaning, laundry, shopping)

Help manage daily routines and appointments

Encourage and assist with budgeting, cooking, or household planning in supported living settings
